Now it's time to play! You should have received an email from Pickleball Canada that contains the link for our CourtReserve or indicates when you will receive it. Sign up for a session and come on out!
We have a few spare paddles available for guests and new players for the summer season. Please make sure they are sanitized and put back after use. If you are looking to purchase a paddle, please reach out on WhatsApp and we have several different reps that can help you out!
We may be selling balls for interested members depending on our stock. Please contact the emails below for inquiries.
Onix G2 balls ($5 each)
Franklin X40 (3 for $10)
Due to COVID, we require a facilitator in order to run a session. For summer, they'll unlock the gate to let members in. For all sessions, the facilitator will ask members COVID screening questions (and indoor requires proof of vaccination). Please sanitize on your way in. Members can play for the full 1 hr 50 mins of the session. Summer is usually a cap of 30 for 6 courts and a 'winners stay and split' format, with games to 11 unless busy, in which case games to 9. Winter is a new format this year, playing 10 minute games then rotating off. Sessions end at 10 to the hour to allow transition time before the next session.
Since a facilitator is required to run a session, PLEASE reach out on WhatsApp to ask for one! We have a great group of volunteers that will step up if they can. You can also volunteer to be a facilitator to ensure that the session will run!
For our level play sessions, we want to ensure our members have the best possible time playing with other members at that level! We've implemented a club rating system where we assign a club rating to each member and they can sign up for level sessions at that level or lower. For more info, please click here.
For Hill Park, the new six courts do not have benches, so please bring a chair if you want a place to sit.
We have a bin at Hill Park (found between courts 7 and 12) that contains our AED and First-Aid Kit. It also contains extra water, paddles (please sanitize and put back after use) and our lost and found.
The rec centre has restricted hours due to COVID so the water fountain and bathrooms may or may not be available.
In terms of more play, we have a team ladder, interclub events, special pickleball/social events and more! We will send communications out to keep our members informed of upcoming events!
If you are interested in volunteering, please see below.
We will send out email blasts to our members as well as post on our WhatsApp group. We'll also do our best to update upcoming events on our website. And of course, word of mouth at the courts spreads the message the best!
We'd love your help! We have committees that you can join, you can volunteer to help out by being a facilitator, the list goes on...There are countless tasks and I'm sure there we can find a perfect fit for your skills and preferences! Please approach a board member or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested. We are a volunteer-run organization so the club cannot run without volunteers like you!
We generally put an order of t-shirts in every year. We polled last year’s members and the survey results indicated that 2021’s Pickleball Hamilton dry-fit t-shirt colour was….Lime Shock! Cost is $25.
Orders are closed for this year. Stay tuned next year for our next colour!
