We currently have additional COVID measures in place. This includes but is not limited to the following:
For the full list of COVID measures, please see our Pickleball Hamilton Play Rules.
Generally, we play games to 11. Winners stay and split, up to a maximum of two games before rotating off. First player off the court is first back on.
When busy for open play, play games to 9.
We encourage all members to mix. Members may book singles/doubles/drilling groups at certain open play sessions (see restrictions in BYOG description). Court Facilitator will determine and adjust play accordingly.
Designated sessions for specific level play. Please self-rate using this link: https://www.ifpickleball.org/skill-rating-definitions.
*Not required to mix in with other programming.
*4.5+ sessions restricted to players evaluated and approved by our club pro.
Family: Minimum of 2 family members. If one is a child under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must stay with them at all times.
Youth: High school youth are welcome to attend this session to learn and play pickleball. Parents are welcome as long as there is space available.
Instruction can be provided in these beginner sessions targeted at teaching the basics to new players and facilitating games with other beginners.
For sessions where programming is only open play and non-primetime, one court (and only one court) may be designated for Bring Your Own Group (doubles, singles, drilling, etc.).
Lessons can be booked anytime. Clinic dates are available. Please click here for more info.
Above is a table that is provided for guidance in booking the appropriate sessions.
Building upon the success of last year’s fun social ladder, we have started a TEAM ladder for our members! This will be competitive BUT levelled play. Teams will consist of 8 members:
It will run similarly to last year, where members must organize their ladder game sometime within the week and report their score to the administrator.
This is a Ladder for everyone. Players can register interest as a single or as a pair. Pairs will play each week against players of a similar skill level.
These events will raise money for Neighbour to Neighbour (N2N). See our Special Events tab for more details on each event.
August 28 & 29: We had three competitive draws of men's, ladies and mixed doubles on Saturday and a fun blind doubles draw on Sunday.
October: Our annual Halloween event which incorporates our President vs. Vice President tournament and a N2N fundraiser.
We are offering clinics throughout the summer. See below for some of our clinic dates!
The ball machine is usually available FOR FREE to any member, although it cannot be used during primetime hours.
It is currently unavailable due to COVID restrictions.
Clinics with our Club Pro, Matt Kawamoto! Only 8 spots per clinic. Members have priority until 1 week before the clinic, at which point spots open up to the public.
If you register with a partner, you will each get a discount of $5 (expect to drill with them for the majority of the clinic). Non-members will cost an additional $10.
To register and eTransfer payment, email email@example.com.
1-day clinics ($55):
Level 2.0-3.0 Aug 2 (6-8PM)
Level 3.5 Aug 9 (6-8PM)

See above for court numbering. Courts 7-12 are our six new courts, and we have Courts 1-6 (old courts) for Mon/Wed/Fri evenings.
Bathrooms and water fountains are available in the Recreation Centre during open Rec Centre hours. The Rec Centre currently has restricted hours - Mon/Wed 5-8pm from July 26 to September 6.
We have a few spare paddles available for guests in the bin. Please make sure they are sanitized and put back after use.
If you are looking to purchase a paddle, please reach out on WhatsApp and we have several different reps that can help you out!
We polled last year’s members and the survey results indicated that this year’s Pickleball Hamilton dry-fit t-shirt colour is….Lime Shock!
Cost is $25. Orders are closed for this year. Stay tuned next year for our next colour!
At the Hill Park courts, we have a bin (found between courts 7 and 12) that contains our AED and First-Aid Kit. It also contains extra water, paddles (please sanitize and put back after use) and our lost and found.
The new courts do not have any benches. Please bring your own chair and place it under a windscreen flap.
The old courts have benches, however please sanitize them before use. If bringing your own chair for the old courts, please place your chair on a yellow line to keep your six-foot distance.
If there is gravel or debris on the courts, there are brooms on the courts and a dustpan by the bin. There are squeegees and rollers if the courts are wet.
We are engaging our members to help us to take care of our new courts! We are assigning each court to a group of members based on initial of first name – if you could please take a couple of minutes at the beginning of your session to pick up any garbage or sweep the courts if there is any gravel. This is your home, so please help to keep it nice!
Court 7: A-C Court 10: K-M
Court 8: D-G Court 11: N-R
